Flat Tyre on a UAE Highway? Your Complete Safety Checklist
Blowouts spike in summer. Here’s how to handle a puncture safely and when to call for a professional tyre change.

Keep control during a blowout
Grip the steering wheel firmly, don’t brake hard, and let the car slow down gradually. Steer gently towards the hard shoulder once speed has dropped.
Should you change it yourself?
On a quiet road with a wide shoulder, changing a tyre yourself may be fine. On high-speed highways, near bends or at night, it is far safer to wait behind the barrier and let a professional recovery technician handle it.
Prevent blowouts before they happen
Check pressure monthly when tyres are cold, replace tyres older than 5 years (check the DOT date code), and never overload your vehicle on long desert drives.
